English Bay Launch has met with Gibson's Officials and is now considering starting a service from Gibsons Landing to Downtown Vancouver using our 48 passenger catamaran and 70 passenger monohull. We are in the preliminary stages of collecting survey results and establishing interest. This could be in place as early as June if all parties are satisfied. Welcome to the website of English Bay Launch, a Vancouver water taxi company owned by the Old School Marine family.

We offer a faster yet pleasant commuting alternative between downtown Vancouver and Bowen Island whether for business or for pleasure. We have boats departing regularly from Granville Island (False Creek) and Bowen Island (Snug Cove) and an express shuttle during rush hour for commuters leaving Snug Cove in the morning and Coal Harbour in the evening. Everybody can enjoy a boat ride with English Bay Launch : business commuters, hikers, trail runners, mountain bikers, kayakers, tourists, families, etc. Each trip from and to Vancouver is unique and you will always get the choice between the fast commuting route and the scenic route. English Bay Launch water taxi captains are not only experienced mariners and qualified marine mechanics, they also have great social skills and know how to make even the most boring safety speech fun. We can take in everything that fits in or on our vessel and doesn't make it unsafe : dogs, kayaks, bikes, groceries, sports teams, etc. We also accept group bookings for up to 20 passengers.
